Sen!

I pray the stabbed wound heals without leaving lines.

This art was made when I was exploring the Gestalt Principles of Design. The element that I tried to depict is Closure. It is the tendency to perceive incomplete or fragmented visual elements as complete shapes or objects. Our minds naturally fill in missing information to create a whole. In this artwork I have used just lines, straight lines and parallel lines, that's it. But you perceive it as 'a man praying with arrows on his head' or something of those lines. In my mind, it was an illustration of vulnerable man, full of thoughts in his mind as he's praying for inner peace. I thought of this concept keeping in mind, majority of men in this society who are asked to suppress their emotions. When men suppress their emotions, it can lead to increased stress, difficulty in forming intimate relationships, mental health issues, and a limited ability to express their needs and vulnerabilities. My message to all the men out there, be your true self, be expressive, and know that people care. Don't let the society tell you otherwise. Just don't.

Materials : Ball Pen

Description : The ballpoint pen was invented in 1938. It consists of a small ball bearing that rotates, picking up ink from a reservoir and depositing it on paper. It is commonly known as a ball pen. Today, ball pens are manufactured using a combination of precision engineering and mass production techniques as the demand is very high. Ball Pens are usually waterproof and have a smooth flow of ink, making it easy to work with.
